TIME TO MOVE

Guess who lives in our house now? This guy and his buddies. And he is not a small guy. HUGE. Huge.

I found this info on the Web: These large spiders are currently invading the San Francisco area. Native to the Mediterranean region, the colonizing spiders or egg sacs probably traveled to the Bay Area with a furniture shipment or in a vacationer’s suitcase.

NEW CAR

Our '99 Saturn has been coughing up blood for about 6 months. We kept slapping a bandage on it and kept praying for another thousand miles. Today, on our way to test drive a car, the Saturn decided that accelerating when I put my foot on the gas pedal was not a good plan. I thought to myself-THE JIG IS UP.... and it is. Here is our beautiful NEW (okay-well, new to US) Santa Fe. Pinch me.

The Kids

You tell ME. Is there enough diversity here? It gives me hope for the future of our planet to watch these kids play together. They could not care less about who is what, or who is from where, or what label who has, or what who looks like, or how old who is, or who knows what- they just be nice to each other and have fun. I'm pretty sure that this is what the message was supposed to be. Amen.

MOVIE NIGHT

Well, I have to admit that movie night happens pretty much every night around here. First, we have to do all the boring stuff: homework, cleaning up, jammies on. Then we have real popcorn and watch excellent films, such as "Cats Don't Dance" or "Bartok". Good times....GOOD times.

Robbie & Crystal

Congrats to Robbie and Crystal who, by koinkidink, got married on the very same day that Mary & Andy did! We could only be in one place at the time, so we had to miss this lovely event in Malibu. Bummer! Best wishes for a long & wonderful union to youse both. I guess I should say; to all FOUR of you.

NATALIE: You go, girl.

Oh, Man. I try to watch TV nowadays but I just cannot deal: Oprah telling me what is wrong with me. Brittney Hilton on drugs with no panties on. sigh.

I remember coming home from Crescent Park Elementary School in the 60's and watching Mike Douglas. I LOVED him. I loved him. Did I mention that I loved him? He was so cute, friendly and funny. I wanted to be just like him. I'd rush home and get my sleeve of Premium saltines and can of TAB and watch Mike chat with his guests. If by some chance he ever had a boring or political guest on, I would check out Merv Griffin or even "Password"....but I had to get up off my ass & actually change the channel with my finger, so I usually stuck with Mike. God bless him, and God bless the 60's.
