Sunday Fun Day

I really love it when a Sunday rolls around when we have nothing on the books. This is a rare and much relished event. We call it "jammy day", and additionally for Ryan, "splints off day". It usually starts with pancakes. Then some sitting around, followed by TV, video games, and more sitting around. Sometimes we even HANG around-for a change of venue. Then eventually it turns in to "bath day" and then "get over it; tomorrow is Monday day", but not until much, much later in the day!

Mother Daughter Tea

Emily's friend Mikayla and her mom invited us to a lovely event at their home. Beautiful surroundings, lemonade and tea, and much delicious assorted yummy stuff. Eventually the sugared up kids ran around and played while the moms swapped kid stories. It was really cool. Please note Emily's very tasteful expression in the picture (double click on the picture for the full effect).. =P

We're BAAAAACK

I lost the camera for a while there. OOps. I had some cute pictures of the Valentine's Day party at Emily's school. I enjoyed the fact that her teacher got REALLY in to the "stack the candy hearts" thing I brought. I was afraid the kids would think it was stupid; it was actually a big hit. I think maybe "Big Amber" gave me this idea...thanks, Amber.
OK, here are the pictures. I am going to try to blog a little more often or I may be in danger of losing my HUGE audience. =P

Emily's Cafe

Our daughter is a pretty darn good cook. This morning she prepared made to order breakfasts for all three of us-and it was deeeliciouso. Not the "Oh honey that was wonderful" kind of good. I mean it was seriously GOOD. My plan is this: three years from now, I will no longer be the cook in this house. It JUST may come true! You go, girl!

Aloha, Michael

A sad goodbye to our friend Michael who passed away last night. He was a fixture at the Children's Theatre for 3 decades; a grouchy on the outside, cushy on the inside character who will be missed by countless kids and used-to-be kids!
